2023 Hour of Code

Learn computer science.

Change the world.

This year's Hour of Code is December 4 - 8, 2023

What is the hour of code?

The Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code," to show that anybody can learn the basics and to broaden participation in the field of computer science.  It has since become a worldwide effort to celebrate computer science, starting with 1-hour coding activities but expanding to all sorts of community efforts.

This year, we're taking Hour of Code to new heights by offering coding opportunities that encompass both artificial intelligence (AI) and non-AI components.  This website will provide ideas and resources on how to create with code and hold an Hour of Code event at your school.
